The American Negro has the great advantage of having never believed that collection of myths to which white Americans cling: that their ancestors were all freedom-loving heroes, that they were born in the greatest country the world has ever seen, or that Americans are invincible in battle and wise in peace, that Americans have always dealt honorably with Mexicans and Indians and all other neighbors or inferiors, that American men are the world’s most direct and virile, that American women are pure. Negroes know far more about white Americans than that; it can almost be said, in fact, that they know about white Americans what parents—or, anyway, mothers—know about their children, and that they very often regard white Americans that way. And perhaps this attitude, held in spite of what they know and have endured, helps to explain why Negroes, on the whole, and until lately, have allowed themselves to feel so little hatred. The tendency has really been, insofar as this was possible, to dismiss white people as the slightly mad victims of their own brainwashing. One watched the lives they led. One could not be fooled about that; one watched the things they did and the excuses that they gave themselves, and if a white man was really in trouble, deep trouble, it was to the Negro’s door that he came. And one felt that if one had had that white man’s worldly advantages, one would never have become as bewildered and as joyless and as thoughtlessly cruel as he. The Negro came to the white man for a roof or for five dollars or for a letter to the judge; the white man came to the Negro for love. But he was not often able to give what he came seeking. The price was too high; he had too much to lose. And the Negro knew this, too. When one knows this about a man, it is impossible for one to hate him, but unless he becomes a man—becomes equal—it is also impossible for one to love him. Ultimately, one tends to avoid him, for the universal characteristic of children is to assume that they have a monopoly on trouble, and therefore a monopoly on you. (Ask any Negro what he knows about the white people with whom he works. And then ask the white people with whom he works what they know about him. )
Marvin Stern, director for the Northwest regional branch of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), can't conceal his bewilderment over what he calls "the growing Holocaust revisionist movement."

Among the institutions in decline are the political parties. This, too, was both intuited and accelerated by Trump. In succession, he crushed two party establishments and ended two dynasties. The Democratic Party claims half the country, but it’s hollowed out at the core. Hillary Clinton became the sixth Democratic Presidential candidate in the past seven elections to win the popular vote; yet during Barack Obama’s Presidency the Party lost both houses of Congress, fourteen governorships, and thirty state legislatures, comprising more than nine hundred seats. The Party’s leaders are all past the official retirement age, other than Obama, who has governed as the charismatic and enlightened head of an atrophying body. Did Democrats even notice? More than Republicans, they tend to turn out only when they’re inspired. The Party has allowed personality and demography to take the place of political organizing.
The truthfulness of the Holocaust is a moral issue.
Second, in countries where descendants of the victims and perpetrators live together, denial—and state toleration of it—suggests that the agreement to treat May 1945 as “Ground Zero” is open to revision.
That is simply a baldfaced lie.
There were also camps such as Buchenwald where medical research was conducted on prisoners by Nazi doctors. An estimated six million Jews were executed at these camps (The Columbia Encyclopedia). Thus, the existence of these concentration camps further provides proof that the Holocaust did occur.
While many Jews did not live to tell their stories of what happened to them at the hands of the Hitler and the Nazis, those who did survive were able to give their eyewitness accounts of what happened. Anne Frank, a Jewish girl, and her family escaped Nazi persecution in by fleeing to Amsterdam where her father became a business owner. When the Nazis invaded the Netherlands, her family along with several other Jews hid for over two years in a secret annex. During those years Anne kept a diary to document her observations, which has been widely read throughout the world (The Columbia Encyclopedia).
Another surviving victim of the Nazis was Mike Jacobs. On what he thought was an ordinary day when he was 14 years old, he was maliciously taken while he was singing in his church choir and remanded to Auschwitz concentration camp. His sole focus during the five years he spent there was maintaining hope and survival (Skolfield).
Stern describes as "the growing Holocaust revisionist movement."
Finally, by ignoring the deaths of thousands of people, deniers separate the survivors from the rest of society, a separation that imposes the type of “aloneness” that is characteristic of traditional hate speech.Keywords: , , , ,
