"HistoryWiz: The Boston Massacre." 5 August 2002.

On March 5, 1770 a group of British soldiers fired into a crowd of Boston citizens, killing five. The incident is now known as the Boston Massacre. But what caused it? Did it happen the way witnesses testified?

For a few months prior to the massacre, British troops had been stationed in Boston.

The Boston Massacre should not only be remembered for the death of the five men, but also for the conflicts that brought on the shooting and for the events that it set off.

They will then answer a few quiz questions, and prepare to defend their opinion of the accuracy of the Revere engraving, The Bloody Massacre in class and in a short argumentative essay.
